Thanks to Lark! Episode 11 ~ Transcendence (continued): Sara runs out of the safehouse and grabs a cab to take her to Irons' mansion. The cab speeds off as Jake comes running out of the building after her. The cab pulls up to the mansion, and Sara heads into the main gate while Ian v2.0, the cabbie, watches with a cold smile. Gabriel is haggling with someone at Talismania over false passports he has secured for him and Sara, the guy is trying to get Gabriel to buy more, and Jake comes in, flashes his badge at the guy and breaks up the transaction. Gabriel is cagey with him until Jake says Sara was OK at the safehouse, they caught everyone, but then she didn't stick around for the "endgame"; does Gabriel have any idea where she might have gone? Gabriel says the only person that could have made her rush out like that would be Kenneth Irons. He and Jake head for the mansion. Sara enters the study, where she finds Kenneth Irons, and she is furious that he ordered her father killed. He changes the subject, tells her what wonderful blood she has, and explains the cloning of Ian - and of her! He says she was made up of Elizabeth Bronte's stem cells, but when she was a baby, she was kidnapped. Black and white images of Waldo in her nursery flash. Jake and Gabriel are behind the mansion, and Jake tells Gabriel if he's not back in ten minutes, report an officer down, do not try to come in after him. He goes to find a back gate, and Ian v2.0 is standing over the doorway. Jake is surprised, he had heard Ian had died, and v2.0 attacks him, beating him viciously. Gabriel looks nervously at his watch, then finds a gun in the glove compartment of the car. He takes the gun and determinedly heads after Jake. Ian v2.0 tosses a crushed Jake onto a sewer grate and moves in for the kill, strangling Jake, looking into Jake's eyes with a malevolent twist to his mouth, and watches the life leave Jake almost lazily in his fascination. Jake's life flashes before his eyes, surfing and a luminous Sara are his last thoughts, and he lies atop the grate, limp. Ian picks up Jake and carries him in by the back door, but instead of closing it, v2.0 purposely leaves it ajar, looking back the way he is certain Gabriel will soon be coming. Sara and Irons argue about her father, and Waldo is there on the balcony of Irons' study: Irons introduces him as Lazar, and tells Sara he will teach her about him later, his name is Lazar. Sara says she has back up, but Irons is contemptuous, and Ian v2.0 enters with Jake's body. When he drops Jake on the floor, the doctor runs away, and Sara flies to Jake, nearly broken. Gabriel enters, trying to defend Sara, but Ian disarms Gabriel, grabbing him in a chokehold. Irons is triumphant, and Sara promises anything, she'll give Irons whatever he wants if only Gabriel will be freed, and Irons agrees, but v2.0 says he'll release Gabriel "from his earthly bonds" and snaps Gabriel's neck like a twig. Irons is stricken at this destructive behavior, and Sara is overtaken by v2.0 from behind; he licks her face, buzzing, "Flesh and blood, Sara!" in her ear, and she begins to fight with him. Irons ages rapidly, as the doctor predicted he would, falling into a chair, unable to intervene, while they both become armored. Irons watches weakly, uselessly, as Sara and v2.0 fight, and Sara finally gains the upper hand, killing v2.0 with a wicked backward thrust of the Witchblade. Sara is still fully armored as she confronts Irons once again, and Lazar is behind her, he tells her she can use the Witchblade to go back in time - but only once - and while she will recall events, she won't remember everything. As she is distracted by Lazar, Irons stabs Sara in the side under the breastplate, not killing her, but wounding her terribly; she gets away from him again, taking the knife out of her side, and Irons falls to the floor, helpless. Sara licks the blade of the dagger, and drags herself over to Irons; she lean over him with blood on her lips, he opens mouth, and Sara refuses to give him her blood. Irons pleads, he can teach her all about the Witchblade, and she leans closer, whispering harshly that she'll find out for herself. Standing, Sara stabs the air, and the blade disappears through a hole in the air as lightning cracks, and time moves backward, through Ian's death, Jake, Dante, Conchobar, Father Del Toro, Gabriel, and Danny, and Sara is sitting in a police vehicle with Danny in front of the Rialto. They watch as Tommy Gallo and his gang arrives, and Sara puts on the blade, telling Danny she is sure something just happened, but she doesn't know what it was. As Danny starts to get out, Sara stops him, something about this feels wrong, she turns the key and tells Danny they have time. Jake watches from a phone booth, hanging up in confusion as they leave, Ian Nottingham watches from around the corner of the building in full armor, and Waldo/Lazar walks past the Rialto with a smile for Sara as they drive away...
