11/18/05 || ABC Press Release || ABC and Touchstone have partnered with Buena Vista Home Entertainment to create “Lost Video Diaries,” an extension of Lost, designed especially for mobile and DVD distributions. The “Lost Video Diaries” is slated to premiere exclusively on the Verizon Wireless V CAST service in January.
“Lost Video Diaries” is based on an original concept by Lost co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof, and by Carlton Cuse, also an executive producer of the series and content will consist of a minimum of 22 two-minute episodes, featuring characters who were on Oceanic Flight 815 but whose storylines have not been seen on Lost. “Lost Video Diaries” will chronicle stories from the island inspired by events taking place on the TV series. Buena Vista Home Entertainment will also distribute the content as part of the Lost Season Two DVD boxed set.

11/15/05 || A Little Something LOST: ZAP2it || Lost Fan Club Created || ABC and Creation Entertainment have announced the launch of The Official Lost Fan Club, aimed at viewers of the hit ABC TV series. For $27.95, members will receive a Lost "Survivors Package" containing an exclusive club DVD, a T-shirt, cast photos, trading cards, posters, bumper stickers, an Oceanic Airlines carry bag, a frequent-flyer card and a boarding pass to the ill-fated Flight 815.
Fan club members will also gain access to an exclusive Web site featuring updated cast and crew interviews, photos, news and games.
11/9/05 || A Little Something LOST: Sci Fi Wire || Lost Podcasts To Begin || ABC announced that it will launch the first official Lost podcast series on Nov. 8. The first podcast will be available on ABC.com's official Lost Web site and future podcasts will be available on both ABC.com and Apple's iTunes, the network said. The first podcast will feature Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) offering insights into filming raft scenes. Creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse will discuss the first season, music and the upcoming episode "Abandoned," which airs on Nov. 9.
Each week throughout the November sweeps, Lost cast members will tease the week's upcoming episode and answer fan questions.

8/24/05 || A Little Something LOST: Sci Fi Wire || Lost's New Woman Revealed || Damon Lindelof, co-creator of ABC's hit Lost, told Variety that new cast member Cynthia Watros will play a helpful character on the SF show. "What's really cool about her character is that she's going to bring a flavor to the show that doesn't exist right now," Lindelof told the trade paper. "She's not as intense as some of the other characters. She's that person you want in the trenches with you who can take lemons and make lemonade." Watros won the role over several other actresses, including Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Jacket), the trade paper reported. Watros will join Lost newcomers Michelle Rodriguez, who will play Ana-Lucia Cortez, another passenger on doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays the mysterious character Emeka, who suddenly appears on the island.

7/27/05 || A Little Something LOST: ZAP2it || Oz Vet Gets Lost || Remember back in the pilot of Lost when the survivors of the plane wreck thought they were the only people on a scary island? Little did they know that their deserted abode had a higher population than Manhattan. Former Oz co-star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is the latest actor to be found on Lost. According to the good folks at ABC, Adewale will play Emeka "a mysterious man whose presence on the island -- and intentions -- will be revealed in one of the early episodes in the upcoming second season." Whee. Other new additions to the Lost cast for its second season include Michelle Rodriguez. Adewale spent several seasons on HBO's Oz playing murderous drug addict Simon Adebisi. He was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards for the role. Adewale's other credits include the features "Congo," "The Mummy Returns" and "The Bourne Identity."

The 35-year-old former model will star in the supernatural thriller "Whisper," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Holloway will play one of four kidnappers who discover that their target, a young boy, isn't as naive or harmless as he seems. Sarah Wayne Callies, star of the upcoming adaptation of "The Celestine Prophecy," will play the girlfriend of Holloway's character. Stewart Hendler will make his directorial debut on the project, based on the screenplay by Chris Borrelli. Holloway is best known for playing Sawyer, the sneering con man and fellow plane crash survivor on ABC's hit drama Lost. He's also appeared in the films "Cold Heart" and "Moving August."
