Yunjin Kim was born on November 7, 1973, in Seoul, South Korea.  She's about 5'6", and is sometimes credited as Yoon-jin Kim; however, her official site, which may be view in English as well as Korean, gives her name as Yunjin.  She and co-star Daniel Dae were both born in Korea and share the same last name, but are neither married nor related.  Yunjin is a recognizible star in Asia, and has appeared in many movies there. Apparently Yunjin read for the part of Kate on Lost, but while they did go in another direction, with Evangeline Lilly, the story goes that the Korean couple was created because the producers were so impressed with Yunjin.
