Sarah Michell Geller is Buffy Summers

Buffy Summers is The Slayer, the one girl in all the world chosen to defend us all from the evil vampires, demons, and other assorted monsters determined to take this world over.  Her biggest romantic attachments to date have been with the vampire with a soul and now his own show, Angel, and Riley Finn, uber-soldier formerly masquerading as a college student, who discovered he worked well as vampire snack. Just recently, there have been indications that she might be returning the intense feelings Spike has for her.  She lives in Sunnydale, California, with her sister, Dawn, the former Key who opened a portal to the demon dimension, her friends, Willow and Tara, who are lovers and witches. Last year, Buffy's mom, Joyce, died from a brain aneurysm, and then Buffy herself died.   Fortunately ~ or not as the case seems to be ~ her best friend Willow has become a very powerful witch and brings Buffy back from the dead (one time only).  Now they are all forced to deal with the consequences.

Sarah Michelle Geller was born April 14, 1977, in New York City and attended high school at Professional Children's School.  She graduated two years early with a 4.0.  Sarah was a competitive figure skater for 3 years and was ranked 3rd in the New York Sate regional competitions and has taken 5 years of Tae Kwon Do; this helps her greatly in the very physically demanding role of Buffy. She also enjoys rollerblading, ice skating and water skiing. Sarah started her career in acting when she was 4. Her first film was An Invasion of Privacy. She appeared with Matthew Broderick and Eric Stoltz in The Widow Claire at the Circle in the Square, She has appeared on Spenser: For Hire, Love, Sidney, The David Letterman Show and The Regis Philbin Show. Sarah started to gain a small, but loyal, fanbase when she played the lead role of Sydney Rutledge in the teen soap opera, Swans Crossing. Sarah won an Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress (1994/95 season) for her work on the soap opera, All My Children, as Kendall Hart.She has done over 100 commercials and is a Wilhelmina Model. Sarah was chosen to play Buffy in 1996. She's appeared in several movies since that time, including I Know What You Did Last Summer, also starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillipe and Freddie Prinze, Jr, Scream 2, and Cruel Intentions. Sarah is 5'3", and married  to Freddie Prinze, Jr, whom she met when filming I Know What You Did Last Summer.  They  appeared together in the live-action feature film Scooby-Doo, as Fred and Daphne, of course, and will be in the upcoming sequel together.  She is also close friends in real life with co-star Allyson Hannigan. "One of the greatest gifts my job has given me is that my mother, who gave up her entire life for me, doesn't have to work any more. I'm now in a position to repay her for her devotion."  I think a person who would say something like this must be a pretty nice person, and from everything else I've read, that's how Sarah strikes me. An amazing young woman, with a bright future.
