How We Meet Hannigan: As Sitcom Star On Rise
A Little Bit:
3/12/07  ZAP2it..:..Dushku Returns To FOX for Nurses: Buffy the Vampire and Tru Calling star Eliza Dushku is looking to return to the small screen with a new FOX pilot.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dushku has been cast in a main role in Nurses, a soapy medical ensemble that also includes Sara Rue, Drew Sidora and Gregory Harrison.
Katheryn Winnick (
House) was originally cast in the part -- a young woman just out of medical school who goes to work at the hospital run by her father -- but the studio opted to go a different way when the character reportedly took a more comedic turn.
Also new to the
Nurses cast is Jacklyn DeSantis (Windfall), playing a nurse going through a bitter divorce. Nurses comes from 20th Century Fox TV, which also produced Tru Calling, which ran for a season-and-a-smidge on FOX.
Dushku's feature credits include Wrong Turn and Bring it On.
A Little Bit: 3/8/07  ZAP2it..:..Buffy [Alum] Join ABC [Pilot]:Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer regular Michelle Trachtenberg will try out her comedy chops at ABC. The Alphabet has added the actress to its untitled Washington-set comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Trachtenberg will star opposite Eric Christian Olsen (
The Loop) in the D.C. comedy. She'll be playing the daughter of a lawmaker who falls in love with Olsen's character, who just happens to work for her dad's nemesis across the aisle. Trachtenberg played Buffy's sister Dawn for three seasons on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. More recently she's starred in the movies "Black Christmas" and "Beautiful Ohio" and made guest appearances on House and Law & Order: SVU.

A Little Bit: 9/11/06  SCI FI Wire..:..Head Voices Destroy 2: Anthony Head will provide the lead voice-over in the upcoming video game Destroy All Humans! 2, expected to be released in spring for Xbox and PlayStation 2, the Gameplanet Web site reported.
In the THQ game, Anthony Head voices Ponsonby, a well-coiffed human and head of MI5, who is introduced to help the lead aliens, Crypto and POX, fight against the KGB. But as the game progresses, Ponsonby is not necessarily who he appears to be.
Destroy All Humans! 2 is the sequel to the hit game. Set in the 1960s, the sequel boasts five new locations and more destruction-loving aliens. Head is perhaps best known for playing librarian-cum-Watcher Rupert Giles in Buffy.

A Little Bit: 2/21/05  Cinescape.com  by News Editor [source SCI FI Wire]..:..Whedon to "Wonder"?: The Sci-Fi Wire had a chance to chat with Joel Silver this past Saturday, at WonderCon, about his "Wonder Woman" project. Silver told them he is interested in having Joss Whedon write and direct the new film version.
Silver is quoted as saying, "'Donner reinvented Superman after George Reeves. It's time to do that to Wonder Woman... The idea is to try to find a way to make it, and I thought Joss has a great idea, because he understands a kind of female superhero character, and also he's great at what he does. So I'm trying to find the best way to do it. ... We're working our way through it.'"
