A Little Bit: 3/31/05 ZAP2it..:..Angel Alum Kane Lands CBS Pilot: Former Angel co-star Christian Kane has joined the cast of a pilot at CBS. Kane, who played revenge-driven Wolfram & Hart lawyer Lindsey McDonald on Angel, has taken a part in American Crime, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show, one of many being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer TV this pilot season, revolved around a female prosecutor (Jennifer Finnigan, Committed) who's also a new mother In addition to Angel, Kane's credits include "Friday Night Lights" and "Just Married." He also has a part in TNT's forthcoming miniseries "Into the West."

A Little Bit: 2/21/05 Cinescape.com by News Editor [source SCI FI Wire]..:..Whedon to "Wonder"?: The Sci-Fi Wire had a chance to chat with Joel Silver this past Saturday, at WonderCon, about his "Wonder Woman" project. Silver told them he is interested in having Joss Whedon write and direct the new film version.
Silver is quoted as saying, "'Donner reinvented Superman after George Reeves. It's time to do that to Wonder Woman... The idea is to try to find a way to make it, and I thought Joss has a great idea, because he understands a kind of female superhero character, and also he's great at what he does. So I'm trying to find the best way to do it. ... We're working our way through it.'"

Twentieth Television's request for WB to commit early to another season of Angel might have led to its cancellation. Ancier said had the studio been willing to wait until May -when WB executives set the fall schedule- there was a decent chance Angel might have been back for another season. Angel was a perennial "bubble" show. In the three seasons it was renewed, the decision was made in May after new pilots had been viewed and a fall schedule was set. That might have been the same case this year. "The mistake that was made between us and Twentieth was that we didn't wait until May, we just made the decision early based upon their request," he said.

A Little Bit: 2/20/04 SCI FI Wire..:..More than 46,000 fans of The WB's canceled vampire series Angel have signed an online petition to keep the show alive. "By signing this petition, we are saying that we support the show and want Angel to continue," the petition reads. Fans have also put together a website, SupportAngel.org, to save the series. Meanwhile, hundreds of Angel fans will convene this weekend at a previously planned charity ball, the Wolfram & Hart Annual Revue, to celebrate the series in Los Angeles.

Marriott will play one of several single guys courting Carpenter's title character in the upcoming ABC Family telepic "See Jane Date". Among her other suitors: Antonio Sabato Jr., Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect) and Geoff Stults (7th Heaven). The comedy � which co-stars Charmed sorceress Holly Marie Combs � starts filming Friday in Montreal.
